                          LEELA OF SAI           SAI had His own ways of relieving people from such fell epidemic as plague and Cholera . It was December 1911 Baba had on his body seven plague bubos . Devotees asked Baba as to what remadies they should adopt to relieve Him from the bubos 'pains . Baba said ,"Nothing needs be done , Seven bubos on my body bespeak deaths on only seven people ; that no more plague " fatalities would occur in Shirdi thenceforth ; the devotees however pressed Baba to name the medicine the application of which would relieve Him from bubo pain ; so he prescribed for Himself the application of burnt cotton soaked in oil and the devotees went on applying this during my stay of ten days in Shirdi , So soon however as seven fatal plague cases had occurred , the plague , it was reported , left Shirdi , and bubos also disappeared from over Baba's body .                              LEELA OF SAI T.R.S.Mani Iyer of Kumbhakornam in Tamilnadu had a daughter Rajalakshmi who was dumb since birth . The anxiety of the girl's parents can easily be imagined . All other efforts to bring a cure having failed . Mani iyer commenced the worship of Sri Saibaba's portrait with great devotion . The daughter too used to stand with folded hands before Baba's portrait , maturely craving for Baba's grace . Once Baba appeared in Mani Iyar dream and instructed him to take his dumb daughter to Shirdi to pray at Baba's samadhi .                   Accordingly Mani Iyer took his daughter to Shirdi on 28.3.42 . As soon as the daughter saw Sai Baba's life - size portrait in the samadhi Mandir resplendent in glory and grace , she at the instance of Das Ganu Maharaj slowly but clearly uttered in amazement ,  "SAIBABA ! ."
