There is a big difference between Guru Puja and Guru Dakshina . Not all devotees can give Guru Dakshina . In Bharat culture , Guru Puja is often performed at the Guru Ashram . After all the teaching of discipleship at the Guru Ashram, he give the Guru Dakshina and  left the Ashram . Sri Krishna and Ramachandra are both incarnations of 2 Yug  . Guru, the disciples at the ashram were educated and gave the Dakshina to the Guru . That connection is written in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata . Only the one who continues to obey the Guru's orders in his life is suitable to give Guru Dakshina . The Guru does not need the dakhina . He needs dakhina after he takes the test . 

Did anyone give Dakhina  to Sai Baba ? 


 Such thoughts come to mind that Sai Baba was a Fakir and he did not need anything . However, why did Saibaba ask for Dakshina ? His only purpose in asking for Dakshina was to build the faith of the devotees . Patience in the face of adversity, danger, hardship. And the real Guru Dakshina is not to diminish the devotion to the Sadguru at all . The devotee's feelings will surely grow if he has full faith and patience in the Guru . Mule Shastri was a devotee of the Guru and was a disciple of the Guru named Golap Swami . When he went to see her, he asked her for dakshina . Mule Shastri thought, "Why should I give Sai Baba to Dakshina ?" He is not my Guru . However, there may be some special reasons for asking for Dakhina from a millionaire like Buti . Mule Shastri was a Naistika Brahmin . While staying away from the Masjid and throwing flowers at Baba . He saw his guru Golap swami  sitting in the seat where Baba was sitting .

He was surprised to see his Guru in place of  Baba . .No bad feelings for Sai baba were created in his mind . He gave up his Ego and fell at Sai Baba's feet . . He bowed again and again . Worshiping Sai Baba's feet, he repeatedly bowed  . The various doubts in his mind over the corruption and scholarly Ego soon vanished . Because of the virtues of some births, he was able to see his guru through Saibaba . After the visit, he apologized to Sai Baba for his misconceptions as he gave the Dakshina . Many devotees came to Sai Baba and paid a lot of money in the Dakshina  . however ,  baba ,did not keep everything to himself ,  he  distributed it to the poor . From the Dakhina some  Money is a hymn to the poor . 



Sai Baba had no distinction of Rich  and Poor at all if anyone thought he was of a Rich , Baba  was breaking his ego . From dakshina baba time to time ,  used to give bhajan  to the poor . 
Sai himself went to the market to prepare all the ingredients for the Bhajan . Baba himself was engaged to make bhajan . Tatya was helping Sai Baba in the making of bhajan The process of giving  bhajan to the poor continued until the body of Baba  was released . Sadguru Sai Baba's trust is receiving large sums of money, which is used to invest in food donation for  patients . Dakshina is a great deed . Peace and ego remain empty on the mental level of the Dakshina provider .    It is true that whoever gives the Dakshina , Sai Baba enslaves him .
