               There are twenty three SIDDHIS in all , which have been graded into three classes ; Great , Medium and Small . The great SIDDHIS are eight in number and are very difficult to acquire . Only he who is established in a Self , who has lost all consciousness of his body and of the sense of 'I ' and 'mine' , such a one can acquire them . They are ANIMA - the reduction of one's form to an atom , assuming the subtle and invisible state ; MAHIMA or GARIMA- to make the body weighty or heavy ;  LAGHIMA -to make the body excessively light and beyond what is natural ; PRAPTI - to acquire objects of sense pertaining to the respective organs ; PRAAKAASHYA - to see and know invisible things in the other worlds ; ISHITAA - to stimulate bodies and creatures , to have control over natural forces ; VASHITAA- to have supremacy over the senses ; YATKAAMASTADAVASYATI - literally ,the power to obtain joys in the three worlds effortlessly ,by mere willing . However , this power leads to the state of the highest bliss through ending of all desires .


              On such a plank Baba used to sleep . Earthen oil lamps burned at the head and foot of his bed .No one even understood when he climbed up or down from it .He would either sit up there , with head bent ,or would be sleeping on it . But when he climbed up or got down from it , nobody ever saw him doing so . The plank was secured by strips of rags --but how did it balance Baba's weight ?? Well , when all the MAHASIDDHIS reside in you ,is not the plank only for names sake ?? If the ASHTASIDDHIS like ANIMA , MAHIMA , LAGHIMA etc , and the NAVANIDHIS stood by his side with folded hands . The plank was to him but an instrumental cause !

 Sadguru's power should not be measured. There are many beautiful teachings in the scriptures. Many Hindu religious books contain rituals of worship of God or worship of various deities. Some books contain all the rules and regulations of Guru Puja. There are several treatments on how to cut from birth to death.  That is called astrology. The book is based on the motion of all planets and stars. After a person is born, his or her horoscope is judged, and the future is calculated, and the correct information is given.  Many types of worship describe how to get rid of planetary suffering. "It simply came to our notice then. We all know that there is a law of creation."  The policy is proper by moving the zodiac signs of different planets.   From Guru Dattatreya, the tradition of Guru and disciple is created. We consider Sai Baba of Shirdi to be an incarnation of Dattatreya. One should associate with a guru with divine knowledge for the salvation of human life. During the Mahabharata war, Arjuna considered Lord Krishna as a guru when Krishna gave him divine knowledge.  When one takes refuge in the Guru, the accumulation of knowledge is destroyed as knowledge rises. Various opinions for Guru Puja are written in many books. Sai Baba has no such ritual of worship. Sai was indirectly imparting to the devotees the education he needed to simplify himself. Gradually the devotees could become very simple. Sai was teaching them how to teach someone. The devotee did not teach in the same way that the devotee gets everything.
